HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 2007-R0063 - Reject All Proposals - Red Light Cameras, Revisit Signal Timing - 02/22/2007Resolution No. 2007—R0063 February 22, 2007 Item No. 6.15 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the City Council has been presented with extensive testimony and other evidence by staff of the City of Lubbock in an open meeting of the City Council regarding the award of RFP #06 -089 -RW, and specifically, the evaluation factors included in the request for proposals regarding the red light camera enforcement system and services (the "Request for Proposals");. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the City Council hereby rejects all proposals and hereby does not award a contract for red light cameras. The City Council directs staff to revisit the signal timing of twelve (12) intersections, as discussed, for red light cameras, complete the certification and have it verified by the Texas Department of Transportation. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the City shall prepare and publish new proposals or bids for red light cameras no later than March 30, 2007.
