HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 2009-R0555 - Repeal Prerequisite For Nomineeds To Lubbock Bond Advisory Committee - 12/16/2009Resolution No. 2009-80555 December 16, 2009 Item No. 6.7 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, on October 8, 2009, the Lubbock City Council by Resolution No. 2009-RO431 established the Lubbock Bond Advisory Committee for the purposes expressed therein; and WHEREAS, membership of the Lubbock Bond Advisory Committee, as so established, consists of seven (7) members, each of whom was to have served as a member of the Citizen Advisory Committee created pursuant to Resolution No. 2009- R0069; and WHEREAS, the Lubbock City Council now desires to expand eligibility for membership on the Lubbock Bond Advisory Committee by repealing the prerequisite for nominees to have been members of the Citizen Advisory Committee, and in conjunction with said repeal, does further desire to ratify and confirm the nominations made to the Lubbock Bond Advisory Committee by the City Council on December 2, 2009; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: 1. THAT the prerequisite for nominees to the Lubbock Bond Advisory Committee to have been a member of the Citizen Advisory Committee is hereby repealed, and is, as of this date, of no force or effect; and 2. THAT the nominations to the Lubbock Bond Advisory Committee made on December 2, 2009 are hereby ratified and confirmed for all purposes. Passed by the City Council this 16th day of December , 2009.
