RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Section 25-4(a)(17) of the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Lubbock (Subdivision Regulations) requires City Council approval of a street design
which will include an island within the street; and
WHEREAS, the design Engineer on behalf of the developer has requested that the
City Council approve a street design that will include two islands within the right-of-way
of 103rd Street West of Quaker Avenue in the Lakeridge Estates development; and
WHEREAS, said islands are to remain under private ownership and will be
owned and maintained as open space area by a homeowner's association; D10W
THEREFORE:
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT the City Council of the City of Lubbock hereby approves the inclusion of
two islands within 103rd Street West of Quaker Avenue to be owned and maintained by
the Lakeridge Estates of Lubbock Homeowners Association in accordance with the
request of Jason P. Flory, P.E., which request is attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and made
a part hereof for all intents and purposes.
