WHEREAS , the owners of 75 .966 acres of rea l property fur th er describ ed in
Ex hibit A attached he re to located in Section 4, Block AK, Lubbock County, T exas have
fil ed a pe tition requesting annexation of sa id property with th e C it y of Lubbock on the
29111 day of May, 20 13; and
WHEREAS , the C ity Council h as heard argu m e nts fo r a nd aga in s t the requested
annexati o n a t a meeting conducted on the 27111 day of June, 2013; a nd
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lubbock deems it to be in the best
inte rest of the c it izens of th e City of Lubbock to g ra nt said Petiti on for A nn exation ;
NOW THEREf-ORE:
BE lT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE C fTY OF LUB BOC K :
THAT, pursuant to Section 43.028 of the Loca l Government Code. the C ity of
Lubbock hereby grants the Petition for Annexation a tt ached he re to as Exhibit A, which is
in corpo ra ted herein and m ade a part hereof for a ll int e nts and purposes.

PETITION FOR VOLUNTARY ANNEXATION
To: Th e Mayor and G ove rning Body of the City Of Lu bbock, T exas
T he undersigned owners of the hereinafter described tract of land which is
vacant or without residen ts , or on which less than three (3) qualified voters reside ,
hereby petition the City Council to extend the present City limits in the manner
prescribed by the Local Government Code, Section 43-028 , so as to include and annex
as a part of the City Of Lubbock , Texas , the property described by metes and bounds
on the attached Exhibit "A ", which is incorporated herein for all purposes. We certify
that this Petition is signed and acknowledged by each and every person or corporation
owning said land or having an interest in any part thereof.
