HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 2013-R0186 - Amendment To Urban Renewal Land Use Plan Area 23 - 06/23/2013Resolution N0. 2013-RO186 June 23, 2013 Item No. 6.3 RESOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK THAT the City Council of the City of Lubbock does hereby approve and adopt an amendment to the Urban Renewal Plan Area 23, Amendment #2 to revise the existing Urban Renewal land Use properties from residential, multi -family and commercial properties to Commercial.!Interstate Highway Commercial (IHC) Urban Renewal Land Use as indicated and described on the attached legal description and map and made a part hereof; and The City Council has determined that the following findings are made in accordance with Tex. Local Government Code 9374.014(d): 1. No individuals or families will be displaced by the Amendment; and 2. The Urban Renewal Plan Amendment conforms to the general plan for municipal development; and 3. This Urban Renewal Plan Amendment offers the maximum opportunity, consistent with the needs of the City as a whole, for rehabilitation or redevelopment of the Urban Renewal Area by private enterprise.
