HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 2014-R0318 - Grant Petition For Annexation - 09/11/2014Resolution No. 2014-RO318 September 11, 2014 Item No. 6.4 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, the owners of 95.4 acres of real property further described in Exhibit A attached hereto located in Section 24, Block E-2, Lubbock County, Texas have filed a petition requesting annexation of said property with the City of Lubbock on the 12`h day of August, 2014; and WHEREAS, the City Council has heard arguments for and against the requested annexation at a meeting conducted on the 11`h day of September, 2014; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lubbock deems it to be in the best interest of the citizens of the City of Lubbock to grant said Petition for Annexation; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT, pursuant to Section 43.028 of the Local Government Code, the City of Lubbock hereby grants the Petition for Annexation attached hereto as Exhibit A, which is incorporated herein and made a part hereof for all intents and purposes. The northern approximate 600' frontage along FM 1585 (130"' Street) is currently in the City Limits. I am petitioning for the remaining portion included within the described tract of land to be annexed. I certify that this Petition is signed and acknowledged by each and every person or corporation owning said land or having an interest in any part thereof.
