BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THAT the City Council of the City of Lubbock does hereby approve the Community
Development and Service Board recommendations for the reallocation of unspent 2012-13
federal funds from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), and all related
documents. Said recommendations are attached hereto and incorporated in this resolution as if
fully set forth herein and shall be included in the minutes of the City Council.

The Board voted to approve the following funding recommendations:

CDBG Fiestas Del Llano Culture Center Renovation $210,000
CDBG Roots Historical Arts East Lubbock Gateway 110,000
CDBG City of Lubbock CD Housing Emergency Repair 18.000
Total CDBG Reallocation $338,000
Project Descriptions
Fiestas Facility Renovation Project — the funds will be used to renovate the building at 2420 3`d Street located on
the corner of University and 3`d Street. Renovations will include plumbing, electrical, heating and air condition
and other minor repairs. The facility will be used to conduct neighborhood meetings and events for the public.
Roots Historical Arts Gateway Project — the funds will be used at the corner of 19`h Street and Ave to create a
green space, entry point Gateway into East Lubbock. The Gateway Pedestrian Walkway landscape project will
include landscape infrastructure, property clearance and demolition, establish water well and irrigation system,
seeding and cultivation of grass turf as well as consulting services.
City of Lubbock CD Housing mergency Repair Program — the funds will be used to continue assisting low
income homeowners with emergency home repairs. Funds can be used for the following:
Water Lines, Sewer Lines/Private Water Disposal, Gas Lines, Water Heaters, Heaters (seasonal — excludes
installation of bathroom heaters), Air Conditioning (seasonal), Electrical Systems (eminent fire hazard)
