HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 2015-R0309 - Establish A Revised Schedule Of Stormwater Drainage Charges - 09/10/2015Resolution No. 2015-R0309 Item No. 7.17 September 10, 2015 RESOLUTION A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS, ESTABLISHING A REVISED SCHEDULE OF STORMWATER DRAINAGE CHARGES, AND CHARGING THE CITY MANAGER TO UNDERTAKE ALL NECESSARY ADMINISTRATIVE ACTIVITIES TO EFFECTUATE SAID REVISED SCHEDULE OF STORMWATER DRAINAGE CHARGES PURSUANT TO CITY COUNCIL FINDINGS AND DIRECTION, FOR BENEFITED PROPERTIES LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY OF LUBBOCK. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lubbock is authorized under the City Charter of the City of Lubbock, Texas, the Texas Constitution, and Chapter 552 of the Texas Local Government Code to establish drainage charges for all benefitted properties located in the City; and WHEREAS, pursuant to said authority, the City Council has adopted a schedule of stormwater drainage charges; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to modify the schedule of stormwater drainage charges, and to charge the City Manager with taking all necessary steps to effectuate said revised schedule of stormwater drainage charges; NOW, THEREFORE: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the City Council of the City of Lubbock shall and does, by and upon passage hereof, charge the City Manager to undertake all necessary steps to implement a revised schedule of stormwater drainage charges, and to have prepared all resolutions or ordinances required to effectuate said revised schedule for formal adoption by the City Council, said schedule to be adopted substantively as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, and incorporated herein for all purposes.
