HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 2016-R0406 - Appoint Jarrett Atkinson As City Manager - 11/17/2016Resolution No.2016-R0406 Item No.7.3 November 17,2016 RESOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT Jarrett Atkinson ("Atkinson")shall be, and is hereby,appointed as the City Manager of the City of Lubbock effective December 12.2016;and THAT Atkinson's compensation shall be set as outlined on the Term Sheet marked as Exhibit "A"attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference;and THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock shall be authorized to execute any additional documents in connection with the appointment of Atkinson as the City Manager. ATTEST: Lucy./c^^co', Rebecca Garza,City Secret APPROVED AS TO FORM: Chad Weaver.City Attorney vw:ccdocs/RES.Atkinson CM Appt November 15.2016 DANIEL M.POPE,MAYOR TERM SHEET * Annual base salary: $250,000, paid per City pay period. * Automobile allowance: $6,540 (annually), paid per City pay period. 9 Communications allowance: $1,200 (annually), paid per City pay period. 9 Deferred Compensation: deposit of the maximum allowable amount into 457 plan (annually), deposited per City pay period. e This Term Sheet states the initial compensation package for the City Manager. These terms may be adjusted by the city council from time to time during his employment. * Vacation: 10 days accrued, effective on hire date; thereafter accrues per Lubbock Personnel Policy. * Relocation expense: A reimbursement of no more than $6,000 to be paid upon presentment of a proper invoice or other documentation. * Professional dues, memberships, and expenses arising from travel and attendance for continuing education and professional development. 9 Business travel costs as reasonable & necessary (example: Legislature; municipal coalitions, etc). 9 Other benefits as provided pursuant to the Lubbock Personnel Policy (sick, health insurance, etc.).
