Sims,Deputy City Attorney RES.Perkins+Will 7-11-16 Resolution No. 2016-R0256 Amendment 1 To Agreement Between The City of Lubbock, TX And Perkins + Will THIS IS AN AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT dated and entered into the 281 day of July 2016 by and between the City of Lubbock ("City") and Perkins + Will ("P+W"), 10100 North Central Expressway, Suite 300, Dallas, Texas 75231. P+W has entered into the agreement with the City for providing professional services relating to the design, plans, specifications, and estimates of the Citizens Tower and the new Police Department Facility (formerly City Hall). The original Agreement, Contract No. 12065, was approved by City Council on May 28, 2015, Resolution No. 2015-RO173. This amendment includes work associated with the additional professional services associated with the project scope, as stated in: Attachments A Eliminate the professional services relating to the proposed new Public Works Facility which was removed from contract after agreement was executed. Funding will remain to offset Attachments B, C, D and E. Amount for services relating to Attachment A is $780,000. Attachment B Provide additional professional services necessitated by the expansion of the original scope of the site design to include the reconfiguration of 13th street, the expansion of civil site work at the Police Department Headquarters to include additional parking lots, and enhancements at Citizens Tower surface parking lot area above the Basement #2 offices and to an outdoor plaza. Amount for services relating to Attachment B is $89,500. Attachment C Provide a forensic engineer as recommended by Perkins+Will's Structural Engineer to analyze the existing structure for Citizens Tower, its Annex, and its Garage, due to recent observations of deficient structural conditions that can only be assessed via lab testing. Amount for services relating to Attachment C is $77,000. Attachment D Provide additional professional services of a Building Envelope Consultant (BEC), to assist in the evaluation of Citizens Tower cladding and roof systems in light of unforeseen existing conditions beneath cladding that is not currently available for observation. The BEC will provide drawing reviews, specification reviews, and will attend site visits with the design team during construction for review of mock-ups and initial assemblies. Amount for services relating to Attachment D is $40,000. This amendment decreases the original amount by $573,500.00. All other portions of the original Agreement and previous Amendments, if any, shall remain in place and are not altered by this amendment.
