HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 2001-R0254 - Letter Of Agreement - Burlington Northern - 06/26/2001Resolution No. 2001-RO254 June 26, 2001 Item No. 24 RESOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock BE and is hereby authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock a Letter of Agreement between the City of Lubbock and the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railway Company, attached herewith, which shall be spread upon the minutes of the Council and as spread upon the minutes of this Council shall constitute and be a part of this Resolution as if fully copied herein in detail. Passed by the City Council this 26th day of June , 2001. Our office is agreeable to issuing a Quit Claim Deed releasing the area as described in the legal description marked Exhibit "A", for an administrative fee of $2,500, payable to The Burlington Northern & Santa Fe Railway Company. The City will be responsible for any recording fees. If the City is agreeable to the above, please have them sign below on both copies and return both copies directly to me for further handling. We will then forward the Agreement for final approval by The Burlington Northern & Santa Fe Railway Company and for preparation of the Quit Claim Deed.
