HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 2008-R0373 - LP&L Substation Addition. - 09/25/2008Resolution No. 2008—RO373 September 25, 2008 Item No. 5.17 RESOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: THAT the Mayor of the City of Lubbock BE and is hereby authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Lubbock, a Dedicatory Certificate in connection with the platting by said City of Tract A, LP&L Northwest Substation Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, and related documents. Said Dedicatory Certificate is attached hereto and incorporated in this resolution as if fully set forth herein and shall be included in the minutes of the City Council. Building Maintenance, Inc. of Lubbock, Texas for carpet and brick cleaning services at Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport. BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION: The bid establishes annual pricing for interior floor cleaning services for carpet and brick in the airport passenger terminal. The contract term is for a period of one year with the option to renew for two, one-year terms. The following two companies responded to the Invitation to Bid: R. L. Building Maintenance, Inc. of Lubbock Texas $23,400 annual carpet cleaning ($.045 unit price) $5,200 annual brick cleaning ($.010 unit price) $3,800 stripping ($.10 unit price) $32,400 Annual Total Industrial Maintenance & Supoly of Lubbock Texas $26,000 annual carpet cleaning ($.050 unit price) $11,960 annual brick cleaning ($.023 unit price) $7,600 stripping ($.20 unit price) $45,560 Annual Total The bid award for this agenda item is awarded by the unit price. The total amount of the award is estimated and actual expenditures may be more or less depending on actual needs. The price per unit will not change. FISCAL IMPACT: Funds have been budgeted in the Airport's Operating Budget 4615.8302. SUMMARY/RECOMMENDATION: James W. Loomis, Transportation and Public Works Assistant City Manager The Airport Board and Airport Staff recommend award to the lowest cost vendor, R. L. Building Maintenance, Inc. of Lubbock, Texas for $32,400.
