RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock is required to obtain certain permits from the
State of Texas regarding appropriative water rights and the discharge and disposal of
wastewater; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lubbock is required to execute applications for such
permits; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lubbock desires to appoint the
Director of Public Works of the City of Lubbock, to act in the capacity set forth below,
regarding said permit applications.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK;
THAT the Director of Public Works, is hereby appointed by the City Council of
the City of Lubbock to execute and submit any and all applications for appropriative
water rights permits and/or applications to amend or renew same, and Texas Pollutant
Discharge Elimination System Permits, and/or applications to amend or renew same,
and any and all other related documents to be submitted to the Texas Commission on
Erwironmental Quality, related to or in connection with Chapter 11 of the Texas Water
Code, Chapter 26 of the Texas Water Code, and/or other laws of the State of Texas
relating to the same or similar subject matter, as each of same may be amended from
time to time, and all rules and regulations promulgated pursuant to such laws.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LUBBOCK:
THAT all actions of the Director of Water Utilities and the Director of Public
Works taken prior to the date of the adoption of this Resolution regarding the subject
matter hereof, are ratified in all respects and instances.
