Criswell, LeRoy Montoya, Arlee Jackson, and Regina Johnston, and the Chief Appraiser, Dave Kimbrough and his staff of appraisers have allowed this situation to exist in Lubbock; and THAT IT IS THE DESIRE AND INTENT of the City Council of the City of Lubbock to commit to lowering the current tax rate at least by an amount to offset the current increase in appraisals on existing property; and THAT the City Council of the City of Lubbock calls on the LCAD Board of Directors to exercise its duty and ensure that all Lubbock appraisals are fair and equitable.
