HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance - 2014-O0075 - Budget Amendment #27 - 05/22/2014First Reading May 8, 2014 Item No. 5.6 ORDINANCE NO. 2014-00075 Second Reading May 22, 2014 Item No. 6.3 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FY 2013-14 BUDGET FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES RESPECTING THE FY 2013-14 MASTER LEASE; THE WATER OPERATING FUND; AND THE SOLID WASTE OPERATING FUND; PROVIDING FOR FILING; AND PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE. WHEREAS, Section 102.010 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas authorizes the City Council to make changes in the budget for municipal purposes; and WHEREAS, in accordance with the City Budget Ordinance the City Council shall approve all transfers between funds and departments; and WHEREAS, the City Council deems it advisable to change the FY 2013-14 Budget for municipal purposes and reallocate funds as follows; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT the City Council of the City of Lubbock hereby approves changes to the City of Lubbock Budget FY 2013-14 (Budget Amendment #27) for municipal purposes, as follows: I. Amend the FY 2013-14 Vehicle Purchase Master Lease by decreasing the approved Master Lease for the Solid Waste Fund by $30,000; and the Water Fund by $246,000, for a total decrease in the approved Vehicle Master Lease of $276,000, from $11,725,577 to $11,449,577. II. Amend the FY 2013-14 Water Operating Budget by increasing the appropriation by $230,400, $78,140,984 to $78,371,384, for the acquisition of vehicles that were included on the Master Lease in the FY 2013-14 budget. III. Amend the FY 2013-14 Solid Waste Fund Operating Budget by increasing the appropriation by $61,181.25, from $21,933,056 to $21,994,237, for the acquisition of a Hydro Seeder that was included on the Master Lease in the FY 2013-14 budget. SECTION 2. THAT a copy of the changes made to the City of Lubbock Budget pursuant to this Ordinance shall be filed with the City Secretary and County Clerk of Lubbock as required by law. SECTION 3. THAT should any section, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase or word of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby.
