APPROVED BY THE PLANNING CC)MNI SI,ON OF THE CITY O LUBBOCK, i, TZKAS.
WHEREAS, on or about September 7, 1950, a plat entitled, "Lane
Heights Addition" was approved by the City Planning Commission of
the city of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, and was approved by the
Commissioners Court on August 28, 1950, and was placed for record.
on August,13, 1950, and recorded in Volume 419, page 442, Lubbock
County Deyd ecorrds; and,
WHEWAS, a plat entitled " xepl t of. Lane Heights" was approved
by the City Planning Commission onC t,ober 9, 1952, and approved by
the Commilsioners Court of Lubbock County, "Texas, on October 9, 1952,
and shown recorded in Volume 483, page 195 Lubbock County Deed Re-
cords; and,
wHER:c AS, both` of said plats have been duly vacated and abandon-
ed by action of the City Planning -Commission in the manner provided
by Article 974a R. C. S, 1925, as shown by the minutes of said Com-
mission dated December 6, 1956; and,
v,11HE i8AS, the City Planning Commission has given its preliminary
approval - o the proposed layout of the streets and alleys included
within. Line Hea nhts Addition and Replat of Lane Heights, which is
further described as being all that property lying in Lubbock County,
Texas, and: further described as follows:
BEGINNING at a ?point 420 ft. North of the Southwest corner.
of Section 3, dock E-2, Lubbock_ County, Texas;
THENCE North 995 f t . along the West line of said section;
THENCE .mast 1320 ft;
HENCE South. 995 ft;
1'RENCE, West 1320 ft. to the place of beginning;
WHEREAS, the proposed layout of the streets and alleys within
the property hereinabove described is further shown on the attached
Exhibit "A", and At is the purpose and intention of this ordinance
to close and abandon any ,a.nd, all streets and alleys and parts of
streets and alleys in conflict witn the proposed layout hereto at-
tached, as any and all streets and alleys and parts of streets -and
alleys in conflict with the attached plat are not needed for any
public purpose and should be closed and abandoned; and,
MEREAS, it is not the purpose end intention of this ordinance
to create or effect a dedication of any of the streets and alleys
shown on the attached plat, nor is it the purpose and intention of
this ordinance to accept any of said streets and alleys as shown on
the attached plat for public use. NOW THEREFOHE,
BE IT OHDAINED BY THE CITY COMNISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCH,
TEXAS:
Section 1. That any and all streets and alleys and parts of
streets 8nd alleys in conflict with the proposed streets and alleys
shown on the attacked plat, be and the same are hereby closed and
abandoned for all public purposes.
Section 2. That the attached plat marked Exhibit "A" is made
a part hereof for all purposes.
Section 3. The City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed
to amend the City's maps to reflect that any and all streets and al-
leys and parts of streets and alleys in conflict with the attached
plat have been so closed and abandoned.
