Zone Case 1852. - 11/22/1972J:kr ORDINANCE NO. 6523 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 169 5 AND THE OF15'ICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING CHANGE. ;ZONE: CASE NO. 1852: CHANGE LOTS 19 THRU 36, BLOCK 1, EI_ WO0 PLACE ADDITION, CITY OF LUBBOCK, LUBBOCK COUNTY* TEXAS, FROM AN Rw2" TO A "C-; R,,01, 3" ZONING DISTRICT; SUBJECT TO CONDITIONS; PROVIDING A PENALTY P'TIDING .' 'SAVINGS CLAUSE AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATIO] WHEREAS, the proposed c1.nge in zoning districts as hereinafter made has been duly Y resented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommenda- tion, vwhic was -received by the City Council and, after due consideration, the Cit, Council f' ds that making the proposed change as hereinafter 'set out will be in the public inte est; and, t WIIREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment to the Zon ng Ordinance and Map have been fu4complied with, as well as giving notices in Pompliance with Section 2Q of Ordinance No. 169;5, as, well as notices provided b Article 10.11f,Vernon',,Annotated Civil Statutes, aended in 1961, and= - notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more than fifteen (15) days prior to the date of' the public hearing before the City Council on such prop sed amend nen% and the public hearing according to said. notice was duly held ' the City Council Room on the second floor of the City HA)4 Lubbock,, Texas, at hich time persons appeared in support of the proposal, anxd, after said hearing, i was by the City Council determined that it would be in the pudic intere due to cha ged conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning 1UIap be amens in the ma« +er hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinane having bee introduced prior to; first reading hereof NOW' THEREFORE?: BE IT i OR AINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LU I CK: SEC 'ION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and the same re hereby amended as follows, to -wit; ChangeLots 19 thru 36 Block 1, Elwood Place Addition, City of Lubbock., Lubbock County, Texas, from an "R-2" to a " CC 3" Zoning District. SUBJECT [TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS;. 1. That development shall be in accordance with the approved site plan in regards to the landscaping,setba.cks and ingress and egress. 2 Lots 19 and 29 shall be developed for banking fa- cilities only. 3 Lots 21 thru 36 shall be used for parking only. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordin anee saidflots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof shall be changed t the Zoning District indicated and the Official' Map is amended in a.ccor dance he with, SECITION 3.
