AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING AND CLOSING A NORTH -SOUTH ALLEY AND
�DART OF AN EAST -WEST ALLEY IN LOT A, LIEF SANDERS ADDITION TO THE
CITY OF LUBBOCK, LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS AS MORE PARTICULARLY DES
"-RIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE AND DIRECTING THE CITY ENGINE'
0 MARK THE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK TO INDICATE THE
LOSING AND ABANDONMENT OF SAID PROPERTY.
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the alleys as hereinafter described are
o longer needed for alley purposes or for public use; and,
WHEREASAI the City Council finds it would be to the public interest to close,
acate and abaj,ftdon the said alleys for all purposes and public use; NOW, THEREF
Z IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION'l. THAT the North -South Alley and part of the East-West Alley in
,ot A, Liff Sanders Additionto- the Citybf Lubbock, as hereinafter described shall
e and the same are hereby closed, vacated and abandoned for alley purposes and
)r public use.-i said tracts of land being more particularly described as follows.,
)-wit:
BEGINNING at a point in the North line of Lot A, Liff Sanders
Addition to the City of Lubbock_, Lubbock County, Texas, said
point being 157.0 feet East of the Northwest corner of said Lot
saidpoint being previously the Northeast corner of Lot 1, Block
3 cuff Heights Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas;
THENCE South a distance of 135.0 feet to a point;

TTHENCE South 450 01 West a distance of 28. 28 feet to a point;
THENCE West a distance of 80.0 feet to a point;
THENCE South a distance of 20.0 feet to a point;
THENCE East a distance of 100. 0 feet to a point;
THENCE South a distance of 165.0 feet to a point;
THENCE East a distance of 20.0 feet to a point;
THENCE North a distance of 340.0 feet to a point;
THENCE West a distance of 20.0 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.'
SECTION 2, THAT the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to mar
he Official. Map of the City of Lubbock to indicate that the portion of the alleys as
described in Section 1 hereof have been closed and abandoned,, showing the number
f this Ordinance and the date of its final passage„
AND IT IS SO ORDERED
Passed by the City Council this 21st day of September , 1965, on first
eading.
