ORDINANCE NO. 4803
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE 1695 AND ORDINANCE
NO. 4539 AND THE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE
THE FOLLOWING CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 1262-A: CHANGING THE CONDI-
TIONS APPLICABLE TO A TRACT OF LAND MORE FULLY DESCRIBED IN THE
BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE.'
WHEREAS, the proposed change in. zonigg districts as hereinafter made has
been. duly presented to the Zoning and Manning Commission for its recommendation
which was received by the City Council and after due consideration, the City Counc I
finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be inthe public
interest; and'.
WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment
to the Zoning, Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving
notices in compliance with Section. 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices,
provided by Article 101 If, Vernon.ts Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in. 1961, an
notice was dui ly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more than. fift( en
(15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Council on such pro
posed amendment, and the public hearing according to said notice was duly held in
the City Council Room on the second floor of the City Hall, Lubbock, Texas, at whi Ch
time persons, appeared in support of the proposal;and, after said hearing, it was b3
the City Council determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed
conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in. the manner
hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having been.
introduced i� final written. form prior to first reading hereof; NOW, THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDA.JNED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance Nos. 1695 and'4539 and the Official Zoning
Map BE and, he same are hereby amended as follows, to -wit:
ZONE CASE NO. 1262-A
Change the conditions applicable to a tract of land being more particularly
described as follows:
BEGINNING at the Northwest (NW) Corner of the Southwest Quarter
(SW 1/4) of Section 17, Block B, Lubbock County, Texas, 2301 East
for the Place of Beginning of this tract;
THENCE East a distance of 1601 to a point in the west right-of-way
line of York Avenue;
THENCE South along the West line of York Avenue a distance of
283. 651 to a point;
THENCE West a distance of 2001 to a point;
THENCE North 1801 to the PLACE OF BEGINNING.
SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:
1. Restricted to apartment development or convalescent home only.
2. 1500 square feet of lot area to be provided for each apartment unit.
3. Two parking spaces to be provided for each apartment unit.'
SECTION 2.THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordi-
nance said lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section I hereof shall be
changed to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in accord-
ance herewith.
Passed by the City Council on first reading thiERIst day of Septembe4 1965.
Passed by the City Council on secon reading this 14th day of October 1965.
