AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING AN AREA ^ND TRACT OF LAND ABUTTING
AND ADJACENT TO THE EXISTING CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK,
BEING AND CONTAINING 5.50 ACRES OUT OF SECTION 3, BLOCK E-2,
LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS; SAID AREA OR TRACT OF LAND BEING MORE
PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS IN THE BODY OF THIS
ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR EXTENSION OF THE CITY LIMITS AND
CORPORATE BOUNDARIES TO ANNEX THE AREA, AND PROVIDING FOR
ANNE.-kATION UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 1, ARTICLE 1,
SECTION 4, OF THE CHANTER OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK.
WHEREAS, Carl Clawson is the sole owner of the property described in the
• body of this Ordinance; and,
WHEREAS, the property described in the body of this Ordinance abutts and
is adjacent to..the present Lubbock City Limits; and,
WHEREAS, Carl Clawson., the sole owner of the property described in the
body of this Ordinance, has platted said uninhabited property into lots and
blocks, and the streets and alleys as platted conform to and with the streets and
alleys of the City of Lubbock where the same abutts the present Citj Limits; and,
WHEREAS, Carl Clawson the sole owner has filed with the Mayor of the City
of Lubbock, a correct map and plat of the property described in the body of thip
Ordinance, and which map is approved by the City Planning Commission; and,
WHEREAS, Carl Clawson has requested the City Commission to annex the
property, described by said map and plat filed with the Mayor, within the corporal
City limits of the City of Lubbock as provided by the Charter of the City of
Lubbock; and,
WHEREAS, Carl Clawson has voted pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 1,
Article 1, Section 4 of the Charter of the City of Lubbock to annex said property
adjacent to the City of Lubbock; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION Of THE CITY OF LUBBOCK-
SECTION 1. THAT the following described area and tract of land abutting and
adjacent to the existing corporate limits of the City of Lubbock, described by metes,
and bounds as follows, to-vwit:
BEGINNING at a point on the present City Limits line, sa;
point being in the West line of Survey 3, Block E-Z and 12
feet North of the Southwest corner of Survey 3, Block E-2
Lubbock County, Texas;
THENCE North 185 feet;
THENCE East 1295 feet to a point in the present City Lim
line and in the West line of Vicksburg Avenue;
THENCE South along the present City Limits line and the
line of Vicksburg Avenue a distance of 185 feet;
THENCE West along the present City Limits line a distant
of 1295 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING; said tract cont;
5.50 acres more or less.

B E, and the same is hereby annexed to and included within the corporate limits
of the Gity of Lubbock for all purposes as provided by Chapter 1, Article 1,
Section 4 of the Charter of the City of Lubbock.
SECTION Z. THAT a correct map and plat of the property described in
Section 1 hereof as well as of property previously incorporated into the City of
Lubbock is attached hereto and is incorporated herein for all purposes and has
been filed with the A+iayor of the City of Lubbock as required by Chapter 1,
Article 1, Section 4 of the Charter of the City of Lubbock.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
