J 990 Item #10 VOL3353' PAGE 56 ORDINANCE NO. 9325 ------ AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING AND CLOSING PORTIONS OF 86TH STREET AS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE; DIRECTING THE CITY ENGINEER TO MARK THE OFFICIAL MAPS OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK TO REFLECT SAID ABANDONMENT AND CLOSING; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION. WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the street portions hereinafter described are no longer needed for street purposes and for public use; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds it would be in the public interest to close, vacate and abandon the same for street purposes and for public use; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT the street portions as hereinafter described in two tracts shall BE and the same are hereby closed, vacated and abandoned for street purposes and for public use; TRACT 1 A portion of 86th Street located in Section 26, Block E-2, Lubbock County, Texas, being further described as follows: BEGINNING at a point of curvature which bears S. 00•01 1 31" E. a distance of 1485.06 feet ands. 89°58' E. a distance of 1837.30 feet from the Northwest corner of Section 26, Block E-2, Lubbock County, Texas, same point also bears N. 00•02 1 E. a distance of 71.00 feet and N. 89°58' W. a distance of 6.00 feet from the Northwest corner of Lot 200, The Chaparral, an addi- tion to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas; THENCE Southwesterly around a curve to the right, said curve having a radius of 19.50 feet, a central angle of 76°39'29", tangent lengths of 15.42 feet, a chord distance of 24.19 feet, and a chord bearing of S. 38°21'44" W; THENCE N. 00•02' E. a distance of 3.97 feet; . . • VOL 3353 PAGE-57 THENCE Northeasterly around a curve to the left, said curve having a radius of 15.00 feet, a central angle of 90°, tangent lengths of 15.00 feet, a chord distance of 21.21 feet, and a· chord bearing of N. 45°02' E. to the POINT OF BEGINNING. TRACT 2 A portion of 86th Street located in Section 26, Block E-2, Lubbock County, Texas, being further described as follows: BEGINNING at a point which bears s. 00°0l'31" E. a distance of 1556.06 feet ands. 89°58' E. a distance of 1843.23 feet from the Northwest corner of Section 26, Block E-2, Lubbock County, Texas, same point also being the Northwest corner of Lot 200, The Chaparral, an addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas; THENCE N. 89°58' W. a distance of 21.00 feet; THENCE N. 00°02' E. a distance of 4.50 feet; THENCE S. 77°52'19" E. a distance of 21.48 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. SECTION 2. THAT the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to mark the official maps of the City of Lubbock to indicate said abandon- ing and closing, showing the number of this Ordinance and the date of its final passage. SECTION 3. THAT should any section, paragraph, sentence, phrase, clause or word of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby. SECTION 4.
