ZONE CASE #1635 -This application initiated by the Planning a nd Zoning Commission included changing properties from in "R -1 11 , "R-211 , 11 C-2", and "C-3", to 11 C-411 along both sides of Avenue Q between 34th and 50th Streets. It is recommended to the City Council !or approval. The recommendation carries one condition, which is to some extent a continuation of conditions now existing on some of the properties involved, calling for a solid masonary screening fence along the property'line a.djacent to residentially owned proper~y that is either vacant or residentially used. This case was initiated by the Planning Commission after it was noted that in recent months three such changes have been made on a spot basis scattered along the length of the mile in question. With the indication that "C-4'1 applications would bC:> approved in this area it is more logical to accomplish a rezoning at one time on a comprehe nsive basis to indicate official recognization of the fact and to simplify the operation from the standpoint of the Avenue Q property owners.
