AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695. OF THE CITY 0
UBBOCK BY AMENDING SECTION 8C-11AM11 .. MEDICAL DISTRICT1THEREOF T
ROVIDE FOR CORRECTIONAL DEVICE ESTABLISHMENTS; PROVIDING FOR
ERVICE LABORATORIES; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE! AND PROVIDING
OR PUBLICATION.
WHEREAS~ the proposed change in the comprehensive Zoning Ordinance of the
ity of Lubbock as hereinafter made has been duly presented to the Planning and
oning Commission for its recommendation, which was received by the City Counci

WHEREAS., all conditions precedent required by law have been complied witp..,
swell as giving of notice, and the public hearing according to such notice was dul
eld in the City Council Chamber on the second floor of the City Hall,. Lubbock,
exas; and after said hearing it was determined by the City Council that it wcru.ld b
n the public interest that the Zoning Ordinance be amended in the manner herein ..
ter set forth: NOW THEREFORE:
E IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Section SC.1 ... 5 of Zoning Ordinance No. 1695 of the City o
ubbock, BE and is hereby repealed,and further., a new Section SC. 1-5 BE and is
ereby adopted which shall read as follows:
. "Section 8C. 1-5 Establishments which sell., fit.t or repair devices for
the correction br prevention of physical deformities, hearing or vision. 11
SECTION 2. THAT Zoning Ordinance No. 1695 of the City of Lubbock BE and
s hereby amGnded by adding thereto a new Section BC. 1 ... 6 to read as follows:
"Section SC. 1-6 Medical., dental, and optical laboratories providing ser
·ce for individuals of the medical profession and their clientel provided that in no
ay shall this use be construed to permit any type of wholesale operation. 11
SECTION 3. THAT Zoning Ordinance No. 1695 of the City of Lubbock BE and
s hereby amended by adding thereto a new Section BC. 1-7 to read as fdJ.ows:
"Section SC.1-7 Accessory Uses Within a building devoted to one e f th
· primary permitted uses the following incidental uses may be conducted
for the convenience of the o'ccupants and their clientel, provided there
shall be no entrance to such use or uses except from the inside of the
building and provided there are no window displays, advertisements or
signs advertising such business that shall be visible from the outside of
