AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE OFFI-
IAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING
RANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 1560: CHANGE LOT 13. BLOCK 32, RUSHLAND PAR
DDITION, CITY OF LUBBOCK, LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS. FROM AN "R-1"

AVINGS CLAUSE AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION.
WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has be n
u1y presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommendation,
hich was received by the City Council and, after due consideratiOn, the City Counc 1
inds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in the public
nterest; and,
WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment to
he Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fu1ly complied with, as well as giving
otices in compliance with SeQtion 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices pro-
·ded by Article 1011f, Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1961, and
otice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more than fif ...
een {15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Council on such
roposed amendment, and the public hearing according to said notice was duly held
n the City Council Room on the second floor of the City Hall, Lubbock, Texas, at
hich time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and, after said hearing, it
as by the City Council determined that it would be in the public interest, due to
hanged conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in th
anner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance havin
een introduced prior to first reading hereof; NOW THEREFORE:
IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and th
arne are hereby amended as follows, to-wit:
ZONE CASE NO. 1560
Change Lot 13, Block 32, Rushland Park Addition, City of Lubbock, Lubbock
County,, Texas .. from an "R-1" to an "R-311 Zoning District.
SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:
1. That 1500 square feet of lot area be provided for each apartment unit.
2. Off ... Street parking requirements:
Multi-Family Apartment Houses --That 1 1/2 paved off-street parking
spaces be provided for each 1 bedroom unit and two for each 2 or more

Boarding, Lodging, or Rooming Houses .... That 1 paved off-street park ..
ing space be provided for each bed.
Convalescent, Orphan, Maternity and 11old age" Homes ...... That l paved
off-street parking space be provided for each 3 occupants.
Day Nurseries --That 1 paved off-street parking space be provided for
each 4 occupants.
Libraries Museums1 Art Gallaries --That 1 paved off-street parking
space be provided for each 250 square feet of total floor space.
Hospital, Clinic, or Medical Office --That 1 paved off-street parking
space be provided for each 200 sq. ft. of floor area, plus 1 for each
doctor for Clinics and Medical Offices. 2 for each bed (exclusive of
basinets) for hospitals.
Schools --That 1 paved off-street parking space be provided for e ach
5 students, plus one for each teacher.
Lodges, Sororities, Dormitories ...... That 1 paved off-stt-eet parking
space for each 3 guest sleeping accommodations.
Public Recreation Bldg., Community Bldg., Little Theater Groups --
That 1 paved off-street parking space be provided for each 250 sq. ft. o
total floor space.
Trailer Coach Park ...... That 1 payed off ... street parking space be provide~
for each trailer coach in addition to the space required by the trailer.
Private Community Center --That 1 paved off-street parking space be
provided for each 500 sq. ft. of land area.
Golf Courses --That 1 paved off-street parking space be provided for
each 2 members.
SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordinance
aid lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof shall be changed
o the Zoning District indicated and the Official Map is amended in accordance
herewith.
SECTION 3. Should any paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase or word of this
Prdinance be decl ared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the remainder of
his Ordinance shall not be affected thereby.

SECTION 4. THAT the City Secretary is hereby authorized to cause publica-
tion of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance as an alternative method provided
by law.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
