CIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING
CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 980 ... A: CHANGE A PORTION OF LOT A, RICHLAND
ILLS ADDITION, CITY OF LUBBOCK, LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS, FROM AN
"R-311 TO A "C-2A11 ZONlliG DISTRICT; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND
PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION.
WHEREAS. the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has
een duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommendatio
hich was received by the City Council, and after due consideration, the City Coun
il finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in the publi
·nterest; and.
WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment to
he Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complie·d with, as well as giving
otices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices pro-
"ded by Article 1011f, Vernon ts Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1961, and
, tice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more than fif-
een {15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Council on such
roposed amendment, and the public hearing according to said notice was duly held
n the City Council Room on tpe se~nd floor of the City Hall. Lubbock, Texas, at
hich time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and, after said hearing, it
as by the City Council determined that it would be in the public interest, due to
hanged conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in th
anner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance havin
een introduced prior to first reading hereof; NOW THEREFORE:
E IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and
he same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit:
ZONE CASE NO. 980-A
Change a portion of Lot A, Richland Hills Addition., City of Lubbock, Lubbock
County, Texas, from an "R-311 to a "C-2A" Zoning District, such tract being
described by metes and bounds as follows, to-wit:
BEGINNlliG at a point which bears 527.5t from the southeast corner of
Section 6, Block E-2, Lubbock County, Texas;
THENCE West 140t;
THENCE North 77° West 190f;
THENCE North 292t + to a point of intersection with the South line of an
alley;
THENCE South 77° East 144t +;
THENCE East 132.23' to the West line of Slide Road;
THENCE South along the west line of Slide Road 321.75t to the
PLACE OF BEGINNING.
SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordinanc
aid lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof shall be changed
o the Zoning District indicated and the Official Map is amended in accordance
erewith.
SECTION 3. Should any paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this
rdinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the remainder of
his Ordinance shall not be affected thereby.
SECTION 4. THAT the City Secretary is hereby authorized to cause publica-
. on of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance as an alternative method provided
y law.
