WHEREAS~. the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has
een duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommendation
hich was received by the City Council and after due consideration., the City Coun
il finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in the public
nterest; and.,
WHEREAS., all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment to
he Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giv;ing
otices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinan,ce No. 1695 as well as notices pro-
ided by 6:21SJVe 101if., Vernonts Annotated CivU Statutes~ amended in 1961, and
otice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more than fif-
een (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Council on sucl
roposed amendment, and the public hearing aoqording to said notice was duly held
the City Council Room on the second floor of the City Hall~ Lubbock, Texas, at
hich time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and, after said hearing~ it
as by the City Council determined that it would be in the public interest, due to
hanged conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in th'
anner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance havin~
een introduced prior to first reading hereof; NOW THEREFORE:
E IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and
he same are hereby amended as follows, to ... wit:
ZONE CASE NO. 1531-A
A. The use district and zone classification of the following tract of land is
ereby changed from 11R ... 1" to "R ... 2" zoning district.
Lots 1 and 2., Block 24., Wheelockts 2nd Addition., City of Lubbock.,
Lubbock County, Texas.

B. The use district and zone classification of the following tract of land is
ereby changed from "C-3" to "R-211 zoning district.
Lots 1 thru 3, Block 5, Wheelockrs 2nd Addition, City of Lubbock,
Lubbock County, Texas.
C. The use district and zone classification of the following tracts of land are
ereby changed from "R .. 211 to "R-1" zoning district.
Lots 7 thru 12, Block 22, Wheelock's 2nd Addition
East 1/2 of Block 58, Ora ... Vista Addition
All in City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas.
D. The use district and zone classification of the following tract of land is
ere by changed from "c ... 3" to "R-1" zoning district.
Lots 1 thru 3 and 14 thru 16, Block 12, Scharbauerts Sub, City of
Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas.
E. The use district and zone classification of the following tract of land is
ereby changed from "R ... 3" to "c ... s" zoning district.
South Sot of Lot 1, Block 20, Coronado Ad dition, City of Lubbock,
Lubbock County, Texas.
SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordinanc

SECTION 3. THAT if any section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause,
hrase or word in this Ordinance, or application thereof to any person or circum ...
tance is held invalid, such holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining por
ions of this Ordinance, and the City Council hereby declares it would have passed
uch remaining portions despite such invalidity.
SECTION 4. THAT the City Secretary is hereby authorized to cause publica-

as an alternative method provided by law.
