AN ORDIN'ANCE AIVIENDING ZONING ORDIN'ANCE NO. 1695 AND THE
OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWrn
CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 1537: CHANGE A TRACT OF LAND OUT OF SEC

ZONING DlSTRICT.
WHEREAS~ the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made
has been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recomm ...
endatiun., which was received by the City Council and after due consideration, the
City Council finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be
in the public interest; and.,
WHEREAS~ all conditions precedent required by law for a valid Q.UL._,.,, ... L,,L .... '~"
to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with as well as giving
notices in compliance with S~ction 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices
provided by Article lOllf~ Vernonrs Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1961~
and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more
than fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Counc
on such proposed amendment~ and the public hearing according to said notice was
duly held in he City Council room on the second floor of the City Hall~ Lubbock,
Texas~ at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and., after sa
hearing it was by the Olty Council determined that it would be in the public intere
due to changed conditions that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be so
amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance ani th
Ordinance having been intnoduced prior to first reading hereof; NOW., THERE...,,-.,.n~
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
THENCE South 0°0ltl011 east., parallel to the west line of Vicksburg
Avenue, and 125' west of Same, a diaance of 52.81 to the PC of a curve
to the right;
THENCE Southerly., along a curve to the right, 125t west of and parallel
to the west line of Vicksburg Avenue., said curve having a radius of 1451
and a delta angle of 30°, a chord distance of 75. 051;
THENCE South 29°5815011 west., 125' west of and parallel to the west line
of Vicksburg Avenue, a distance of 184. 44';
THENCE Southerly, along a curve to the left, 1251 from and parallel to
the west line of Vicksburg Avenue, said curve having a radius of 4551: and
a delta angle of 30°, a chord distance of 235. 52t;
THENCE South ooo1r1ou east, 12St from and parallel to the west line of
Vic·ksburg Avenue., a distance of 17t to a point in the northerly line of 34th
street;
THENCE Northwesterly., along a curve to the right., and in the northerly
line of 34th Street., same being the easterly line of 29th Drive., said curve
having a radius of 500. QOt, a chord distance of 351. 8' to the PLACE OF
BEGINNING.
SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this
Ordinance,. said lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof
shall be changed to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended
in accordance herewith. AND IT 1S SO ORDERED.
