WHEREAS., the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made h s been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission :lbr its recommendati , which was received by the City Council and after due consideration., the City Council finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in th public interest; and, WHERE.AS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendme to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with., as well as giving notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices provided by Article lOllf., Vernonts Annotated Civil. Statutes., amended in 1961, and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more than fift~en (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Counc on such proposed amendment., and the public hearing according to said notice was duly held in the City Council Room on the second floor of the City Hall, Lubbock., Texas., at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and,. after sai hearing,. it was by the City Council determined that it would be in the public inter est,. due to changed conditions,. that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having been introduced prior to first reading hereof; NOW, THER ... FORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and the same are hereby amended as follows, to ... wit: ZONE CASE NO. 1187 ... A Change Lots 2 and 4., Block 4; Lots 1 thru 5,. Block 5; Lot 8, Block 6., and three tracts of land out of Suburban Homes Addition, City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas., from 11R-211 to 11C~311 Zoning District. Property is further described by metes and bounds as follows, to ... wit: TRACT I . •. , .. The east 2551 of Block 3, Suburban Homes Addition. TRACT II A part of the west 1 /2 of Block 4, of the Suburban Homes Addition to the City of Lubbock., Lubbock County, Texas, and more fully described by metes and bounds as follows: •·kb BEGINNING at the southeast corner of Lot 4., Block 4., Suburban Homes Addition; .
