ORDINANCE NO. ? 3688
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE
OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLWWING
CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 965 : CHANGE CERTAIN PROPERTY BEING
LOCATED IN THE 100 BLOCK BETWEEN ~7TH AND 38TH STREETS FROM AN
11R-211 TO AN "R-3" ZONING DISTRICT. SUBJECT TO CONI:II'ION.
WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has
been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommenda-
tion, which was received by the City Commission and after due consideration, the
City Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out
will be in the public interest; and,
WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment
to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with~ as well as
giving notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinanc e No. 1695 as well as
notices provided by Article 1011f, Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes, amended
in 1953, and notice was suly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal
more than fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City
Commission on such proposed amendment, and the public hearing according to
said notice was duly held in the Assembly Room of the Central Fire Station Build-
ing, located at 503 Avenue KIn Lubbock, Texas, at which time persons appeared
in support of the proposal; and, after said hearing, it was by the City Commissio .
determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions, that
the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter
set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having been introduced
in final written form prior to first reading hereof; NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE an

Change the following described property, to-wit:
BEGINNING at iron pipe set 15' East and 5' North of the Original
Southwest corner of Lot 1, Block 1, Ross Putty Addition to the City
of Lubbock; Lubbock County, Texas;
THENCE East along North line of 38th Street 172. 51 to iron pipe,
Southwest corner of Tremarco-Benton Addition;
THENCE North along west line of Tremarco-Benton Addition 362. 4'
an "X" out in concrete walk, Northwest corner of Tremarco-Benton
Addition;
THENCE West along South line of 37th Street 172. 1 1 to iron pipe
set on East line of 151 alley;
THENCE South 36 2. 4 1 to PLACE OF BEGINNING.
from an "R-2" to an "R-3" zoning district. {Said property being
located between .S7th and 38th Streets in the 100 Bloc~.
Subject to the following condition:
That one paved, off-street parking space be provided for each unit
of an apartment development or for each 200 square feet of build ing
area for other than apartment development.
SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this
Ordinance, said lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof
shall be changed to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended
in accordance herewith.
