ORDINANCE NO. 1.39.3
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE .RI!.""'MOVAL OF PARKING METER NO. 13-12-17;
REPEALING ALL CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; AND DECLARING AN EM!:~ENCY.
WHEREAS, the City Commission has passed an Ordinance establishing a
parking meter zone and authorizing the placing of meters in that area and it is
· //) now necessary to remove said parking meter to provide a greater use of 1:.he public
I U~tt.-cr;}at.. ,s treat; NOW, THEREFORE , tk . BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
JJU r/.1-tl-SECTION 1. That the Traffic Engineer be, and he hereby is authorized
to cause due removal of parking meter No. 13-12-17. r,

~ SECTION 3. That part of the provision of any ordinance or order in

SECTION 4. Due to the changing traffic conditions creating a hazard
'injurious to the public and the public's use of the streets, the enactment of this
Ordinance is declared to ba an emergency measure, there by creating a public
necessity that the rule requiring proposed ordinances to be pre·sented at two (2)
separate meetings be dispensed with and this Ordinance shall be effective from the
date of its passage as provided by law.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
