BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CrrY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT, Section Twenty--three (23) of Ordinance No. 564 is hereby amended so as to change and modi.fy the parld.Dg therein referred to, so as to in- clude the streets herein designated, with the following provisions: ~ 1. THAT, a parking meter zone is hereby designated and established in the !I City of Lubbock, Texas; said parking meter zone shall embrace that part of the I streets hereinafter designated, which shall limit the time of parking as follows, to'""Wits ONE (1) HOUR ZONE, FORTY-FIVE (45°) DEXZREE ANGIE PARKING (A) The East side ot Texas Avenue from Ninth (9th) Street to Tenth (lOth) Street. ONE (1) HOUR ZONE, PARALLEL PARKING (A) The South side of Ninth (9th) street from Texas Avenue West to the North -South alley between Texas Avenue and Avenue J. (B) The North s'ide of Ninth (9th) Street from Avenue J East to the North-South alley between Texas Avenue and Avenue J.· (C) The East side of Texas Avenue from Eighth (8th) Street to Ninth (9th) Street. (D) The North side of Ninth (9th) Street·from Texas Avenue to the North-South alley between Texas Avenue and Avenue H, save and except the distance of thirty-eight and one-~~lt (38-l/21 ) feet West from said alley, which is hereby designated as a loading zone. SECTION 2. THAT, the Chief of Police is directed to p:iaee One (1) Hour parking meters and lines designating the kind of parkiDg provided on that part of the streets designated in Section One {1) of this Ordinance. THAT, all provisions ot other Ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance relating to parking meters on that part ot the streets herein designated is hereby repealed, provided nothing herein shall ever be construed as repealing 8ll1' part of Ordinance No. 564 except as herein ex• press~ provided. SECTION 4. THAT, any person, firm or corporation who shall violate, aid, or abet the violation of a~ provision of this Ordinance and Ordinance No. 564 which it amends shall, upon conviction, be fined in any sum not exceeding One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars. SECTION 5. THAT, the City Secretary is hereby directed to cause publica- tion or the descriptive caption of this qrdinance together with the penalty clause as an alternative method ot publication as provided by law.
