CAUSE PUBLICATION OF THE DESCRIPTIVE CAPtiON OF THIS ORDINANCE TOO:E:l'HER WITH THE
PENALTIES AS SET HEREIN; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE

WHEREAS, an area on the West side o£.Avenue K adjacent to the West curb North
from the point where the West curb of Avenue K intersects the North boundar,y ot
Broadway Street to the East•West alley between Main and Broadwey Streets is de""
sired aDd is needed by the Hotel Lubbock for a loading zone in order that pass•
engers, luggage and commodities can be handled, loaded and unloaded from vehicles
to the Hotel without obstructing traffic on said Avenue K, THEREFORE;
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT, the area on the West side of Avenue K adjacent to the West
curb and beginning on the West curb at a point where the said curb intersects
with the North boundary of Broadway Street and extending North .rrom said point
to the East-West alley between Main and Broadway Streets and 1 ts point of inter•
section with Avenue K is hereby" designated as a loading zone.
SECTION 2. THAT, the West curb of Avenue K adjacent to the area descri~ in
Section One (1) shall be painted orange with the following lettering: 11IDADIJIJ
ZONE, 15 MIN. LIMIT.•
SECTION 3. THAT, after the effeotive date of this Ordinance it shall be
unlaw:f'ul for one to permit, allo• or suffer a motor vehicle to stop in the area
described in Section One (1) for aey purpose other than handling, loading or un-
loe.ding passengers, luggage and commodities, and when the motor vehicle is stopped
or parked in the designated area it shall be parked so that the right•hand wheels
' of the said motor vehicle is within eighteen (lSn) inches of the painted curb aDd
a person found guilt7 under this Ordinance is guilty ot a misdemeanor and shall be
fined in aey sum ot money not more than Two Hundred ($200.00) Dollars.

SECTION 4. THAT, the City Secretary is hereby' authorized and directed to
I publish the descriptive caption or this Ordinance together with PeDalty Clause
No. Three (3) as an alternative m'thod o£ publication provided b.r law.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
