HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance - 7911-1979 - Abandoning/Closing Transformer Pad Easement In Lot 55, April Park Addt. - 08/23/1979l JWF:hw ORDINANCE NO. 7911 ------- AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING AND CLOSING A TRANSFORMER PAD EASEMENT LOCATED IN LOT 55, APRIL PARK ADDITION, AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREINAFTER IN THIS ORDINANCE; DIRECTING THE CITY ENGINEER TO MARK THE OFFICIAL MAPS OF THE CITY TO REFLECT SAID ABANDONING AND CLOSING; AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION. WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the transformer pad easement as here- inafter described in the body of this ordinance is no longer needed for public use and it would be to the public interest to close, vacate, and abandon the same; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT said transformer pad easement described as follows: A transformer pad easement in Lot 55, April Park Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, being more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at a point in the South line of Lot 55, April Park Addition, said point being 14.4 feet West of the Southeast corner of said Lot 55; THENCE North a distance of 6.00 feet; THENCE East a distance of 4.00 feet; THENCE South a distance of 6.00 feet; THENCE West a distance of 4.00 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. Be and the same is hereby closed, vacated and abandoned. SECTION 2. THAT the City Engineer shall mark said abandoning and closing on the official maps of the City, giving the number of the Ordinance, and its date of final passage. SECTION 3. THAT the City Secretary is hereby authorized and directed to cause the publication of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance as an alternative method of publication as provided by law. AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
