ORDINANCE NO. 7367
AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING AND CLOSING THE FOLLOWING
PORTIONS OF STREET AND ALLEY: A PORTION OF TULANE STREET
BETWEEN BLOCKS 1 AND 2. BURLESON AND OSBORN1S STANTON
ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LUBBOCK. LUBBOCK COUNTY. TEXAS.
AND ALL OF THE ALLEY IN BLOCK 2 OF SAID ADDITION AS MORE
PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE:
DIRECTING THE CITY ENGINEER TO MARK THE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE
CITY OF LUBBOCK TO INDICATE THE CLOSING AND ABANDONMENT
OF THAT CERTAIN ALLEY AND STREET: PROVIDINGA SAVINGS
CLAUSE AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION.
WHEREAS. the City Council finds that the Street and Alley portions
hereinafter described are no longer needed for street and alley purposes
and for public use; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it would be to the public interest
to close, vacate and abandon the same for street and alley purposes and
to public use: and NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT the street and alley portions as hereinafter
described shall BE and the same are hereby closed, vacated and abandoned
for street and alley purposes anll for public use:
Portion of Tulane Street Closure
That portion of Tulane Street which lies between and
abuts Blocks 1 and 2, Burleson and Osborn's Stanton
Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas.
Alley Closure
All of the alley in Block 2, Burleson and Osborn's
Stanton Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County,
Texas.
SECTION 2. THAT the City Engineer is hereby authorized and
directed to mark the official map of the City of Lubbock to indicate that
the street and alley described in Section 1 hereof have been closed and
abandoned, showing the number of this Ordinance and the date of its final
passage.

SECTION 3. THAT should any section., paragraph, sentence., phrase.,
clause or word of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for
any reason., the remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby.
SECTION 4. THAT the City Secretary is hereby authorized and
directed to cause publication of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance
as an alternative method provided by law.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
