LUBBOCK COUNTY, EXAS, FROM C-2 TO C-3 ZONING DISTRICT; PROVIDING A SAVINGS LA USE AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION. WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made as been duly presented to the Planning and Zoning Commission for its recom- endation, which was received by the City Council and, after due consideratio , he City Council finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out ill be in the public interest; and, WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a val.id amend- ent to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well s giving notices in compliance with Section 26 of Ordinance No. 7084 as well s notices provided by Article 1011£, Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes, amen - din 1961, and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche ournal more than fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing be- ore the City Council on such proposed amendment, and the public hearing ac- ording to said notice was duly held in the City Council Room on the Second loor of the City Hall, Lubbock, Texas, at which time persons appeared in upport of the proposal; and, after said hearing, it was by the City Council etermined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions, hat the Zoning Ordinance and Zoning Map be amended in the manner herein- ter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having been 'ntroduced prior to first reading hereof; NOW THEREFORE: E IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 7084 and the Official Zoning Map BE d the same are hereby amended as follows; to-wit: ZONE CASE NO. 1542-B •.. Change a tract of land out of Secti~ 10, Block E-2~ City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texal3, from C-2 to C-3 Zoning District. Property is further described by metes and bounds to-wit: BEGINNING at a point which bears South 89° 57' 3011 ~ st a distance of 581. 18 feet and North 733. 88 feet from the KJ:lb Southeast corner of the Northeast quarter of Section 10, Block E-2, Lubbock County, Texas; THENCE South 62° 571 West a distance of 501. 77 feet; THENCE North 27° 031 West a distance of 740. 0 feet; THENCE North '23° 391 3811 East a distance of 350 fee.t; THENCE South 66 ° 20' 2211 East a distance of 392 feet to a point of curvature; THENCE around a curve to the right, said curve having a radius of 215 feet, a delta angle of 66 ° 1 71 2211, tangent lengths of 140. 40 feet; and a chord distance of 235.11 feet to a point of reverse curvature; THENCE around a curve to the left, said curve having a radius of 390 feet, a delta angle of 27°, tangent lengths of 93. 63 feet, and a chord distance of 182. 09 feet; THENCE South '21., ,03!..&st.:a~i~tanc&'<>f• 247;'4=$: f~et',te the PLACE OF BEGINNING. SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordinance said lots. tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof shall be chapged to the Zoning District indicated and the Official Map is amend,. ed in accordance herewith. SECTION 3. THAT should any section, paragraph, sentence, clause, ohrase or word of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutionll:.1 or invalid for any reason, the remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby. SECTION 4. THAT the City Secretary is hereby authorized to cause publication of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance as an alternative me- thod provided by law.
