I AN ORDINANCE ADDING SUBSECTION 21-1 TO THE CODE OF ORDINANCES
I OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS, WITH REGARD TO RECOMMENDATIONS
FOR THE NAMING OF LOCATIONS AND FACILITIES AT LAKE ALAN HENRY;
PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lubbock deems it to be in the best
1 interest of the citizens of the City of Lubbock to add a new Section 21-1 to the Code of
I Ordinances of the City of Lubbock with regard to recommendations for the naming of
locations and facilities at Lake Alan Henry; NOW THEREFORE:
1 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT the Code of Ordinances, City of Lubbock, Texas, is hereby
amended by adding a section, to be numbered 21-1, which said section reads as follows:
Sec. 21-1. Naming of Locations and Facilities at Lake Alan Henry.
The Lake Alan Henry Working Group shall make recommendations to the City
Council in all matters pertaining to the naming of locations and facilities at Lake Alan
j Henry. The City Council shall have final authority with regard to naming such locations
and facilities at Lake Alan Henry.
SECTION 2. THAT should any paragraph, section, sentence, phrase, clause or word
j of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the remainder of
this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby.
SECTION 3. THAT the City Secretary is hereby authorized and directed to cause
publication of the descriptive caption ofthis Ordinance as an alternative method of
1 publication provided by law.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
