HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance - 2005-O0146 - Amending The 2005-06 Budget For Municipal Purposes. - 12/15/2005First: Reading Deceaber 15, 2005 Itea 1io. 6.11 ORDINANCE NO. 2005-o0146 Second Reading January 12, 2006 It:ea No. 6.6 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FY 2005-06 BUDGET FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES RESPECTING THE 1) CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT TIF FUND, 2) GENERAL FUND, 3) DONATIONS FUND, 4) AIRPORT FUND, 5) LP&L FUND, AND 6) GRANT FUND. (AMENDMENT #7a) WHEREAS, Section 102.010 of the Local Govenunent Code of the State of Texas authorizes the City Council to make changes in the budget for municipal purposes; and WHEREAS, in accordance with the City Budget Ordinance the City Council shall approve all transfers between funds and departments; and WHEREAS, the City Council deems it advisable to change the FY 2005-06 Budget for municipal purposes and reallocate funds as follows; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT the City Council of the City of Lubbock hereby approves changes to the City of Lubbock Budget FY 2005-06 (Budget Amendment #7a) for municipal purposes, as follows: 1. Appropriate $100,000 from the Central Business District Tax Increment Finance Fund to participate in the Downtown Revitalization Study. 2. Appropriate $30,000 from General Fund Balance to the Donations Fund for Parks and Recreation Senior Games. 3. Upon receipt of $248,000 in revenue from the State of Texas to the General Fund, appropriate $248,000 in the General Fund for the remediation of underground storage tank sites. 4. Appropriate $66,612 of Airport Fund Retained Earnings to pay money owed to LP&L for previously installed underground lines. 5. Revise capital projects in the LP&L Fund Budget. Specific information regarding this project is competitive information protected under 552.133 of the Texas Government Code. 6. Accept and appropriate a $10,000 grant from Pizza Ventures of West Texas, a franchise ownership group of Papa John's Pizza to support the Lubbock Fire Department's community fire education programming. 7. Appropriate $318,042 of Police Forfeited Funds for law enforcement purposes. The funds are appropriated as follows: Special Investigative Fund Confidential Informant Fund Department ofTreasury Asset Sharing Department of Justice Asset Sharing Total Forfeited Funds Budget $ 94,525 50,927 595 171.995 $ 318,042 8. Appropriate $112,000 of General Fund Balance to the FY 2005-06 Operating Budget for federal legislative counseling services. SECTION 2. THAT a copy of the changes made to the City of Lubbock Budget pursuant to this Ordinance shall be filed with the City Secretary and County Clerk of Lubbock as required by law.
