AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FY 2008-09 BUDGET FOR MUNICIPAL
PURPOSES RESPECTING THE (1) GRANT FUND, (2) GENERAL FUND, AND (3)
CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT TAX INCREMENT FINANCE SPECIAL
REVENUE FUND.
WHEREAS, Section 102.010 of the Local Govenunent Code of the State of
Texas authorizes the City CQuncil to make changes in the budget for municipal purposes;
and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the City Budget Ordinance the City Council shall
approve all transfers between funds and departments; and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it advisable to change the FY 2008-09
Budget for municipal purposes and reallocate funds as follows; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT the City Council of the City of Lubbock hereby approves
changes to the City of Lubbock Budget FY 2008-09 (Budget Amendment #2) for
municipal purposes, as follows:
1. Accept and appropriate $17,850 from the Lubbock Emergency
Communication District Public Safety Answering Points Grant for the
Lubbock Police .Communications Center, reduce the Police Communications
operating budget by $1,983, and transfer $1,983 from the General Fund to the
Grant Fund for the City's required match often percent.
2. Accept and appropriate $14,754 from the Lubbock Emergency
Communication District Public Safety Answering Points Grant for the
Lubbock Fire Communications Center, reduce the Fire Communications
operating budget by $1,639, and transfer $1,639 from the General Fund to the
Grant Fund for the City's required match often percent.
3. Accept and appropriate $142,547 from the South Plains Association of
Governments for the Area Agency on Aging Direct Purchase of Services
Program and appropriate $101,436 of anticipated program revenues, for a
$243,983 grant program budget, with estimated revenues budgeted
accordingly.
4. Accept and appropriate $35,589 from the Texas State Library and Archives
Commission for the Loan Star Libraries Program.
5. Appropriate $515,500 ofthe Central Business District Tax Increment Finance
Special Revenue Fund balance for Downtown Revitalization Master
Developer Consultant Agreement.
SECTION 2. THAT a copy of the changes made to the City of Lubbock Budget
pursuant to this Ordinance shall be filed with the City Secretary and County Clerk of
Lubbock as required by law.
SECTION 3. THAT should any section, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase or
word of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the
remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affe.cted thereby.
