AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FY 2009-10 BUDGET FOR
MUNICIPAL PURPOSES RESPECTING THE GRANT PROGRAM BY
AMENDING THE REGIONALLY COO RD INA TED TRANSPORTATION
PLANNING GRANT; RESPECTING THE CAPITAL PROGRAM TO ESTABLISH
CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 92225, LAKE ALAN HENRY -POLICE
FACILITY SPILL CONTAINMENT AND APPROPRIATE FUNDS; AMEND
CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 91103, SLIDE ROAD FROM 4TH STREET
NORTH TO LOOP 289; AND AMEND CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
92158, 98TH, FRANKFORD, AND MILWAUKEE.
WHEREAS, Section 102.010 of the Local Government Code of the State of
Texas authorizes the City Council to make changes in the budget for municipal
purposes; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the City Budget Ordinance the City Council
shall approve all transfers between funds and departments; and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it advisable to change the FY 2009-10
Budget for municipal purposes and reallocate funds as follows; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT the City Council of the City of Lubbock hereby approves ;
changes to the City of Lubbock Budget FY 2009-10 (Budget Amendment #12) for
municipal purposes, as follows:
I. Amend the Regionally Coordinated Transportation Planning Grant by
reducing the appropriation from $66,153 to $42,900.
II. Establish Capital Improvement Project 92225, Lake Alan Henry -
Police Fueling Facility Spill Containment, and appropriate $50,000
for the engineering and construction of a spill containment system
associated with the existing fueling facility operated by the Lubbock
Police Department at Lake Alan Henry Recreational Area.
III. Amend Capital Improvement Project 91103, Slide Road from 4th
Street North to Loop 289, by decreasing the appropriation by $1.7
million from $8,637,000 to $6,937,000, and amend Capital
Improvement Project 92158, 98Ui, Frankford, and Milwaukee, by
increasing the appropriation by $1. 7 million, from $2 million to $3. 7
million.
SECTION 2. THAT a copy of the changes made to the City of Lubbock
Budget pursuant to this Ordinance shall be filed with the City Secretary and County
Clerk of Lubbock as required by law.
SECTION 3. THAT should any section. paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase
or word of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the
remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby.
