AN ORDINANCE ABANDONfNG AND CLOSING A 2.62 ACRE TRACT OF
A STORM WATER STORAGE AND DRAfNAGE EASEMENT LOCATED IN
SECTION 43, BLOCK AK, LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS AND MORE
PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED fN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE:
DIRECTING THE CITY ENGINEER TO MARK THE OFFICIAL MAPS OF THE
CITY TO REFLECT SAID ABANDONMENT AND CLOSING; PROVIDING A
SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDfNG FOR PUBLICATION.
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the easement as hereinafter described in
the body of this Ordinance is no longer needed for easement purposes and for public use;
and it would be in the public interest to close, vacate and abandon the same for easement
purposes and for public use, and it would be in the public interest to close, vacate and
abandon the same; NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION l. THAT the easement as hereinafter described shall BE and the same
is hereby closed, vacated and abandoned for easement purposes and for public use, such
easements being more particularly described in the attached Exhibit "A."
I SEC rION 2. THAT the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to mark
the official maps of the City of Lubbock to reflect said abandonment and closing,
showing the number of this Ordinance and the date of its final passage.
SECTION J. THAT should any section, paragraph, sentence, phrase, clause or
word of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the
remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby.
J SECTION 4. THAT the City Secretary of the City of Lubbock is hereby
authorized and directed to cause publication of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance
as an alternative method provided by law.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.

The Intent of these Notes is define the area where it is requested that the City of Lubbock
Abandon and close any portion of the Stormwater Storage and Drainage Easements previously
dedicated on this tract.
FIELD NOTES on a 2.62 acre tract out of Section 43. Block AK, Lubbock County, Texas, and
also out of Lot 6, Commander's Addition being proposed Lots 6-A and 6-B. Commander's
Addition, further described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at point in the East line of Lot 6 for the Southeast corner of this tract which bears N
1 ° 49' 22" E, 279.64 feet from the original Southeast corner of Lot 6, Commanders Addition;
THENCE N88°09'45" W, 300.11 feet;
THENCE N01°49'46" E, 80.00 feet;
THENCE N88°09'45" W, 110.00 feet;
THENCE N01 °49'46" E, 220.00 feet;
THENCE S88°09'45" E, 385.16 feet;
THENCE S43°09'45" E, 35.25 feet;
THENCE S01°49'22" W, 275.07 feet to the PLACE of BEGINNING and containing
2.62 Acres, including any Right of Way.
These Notes ar based on a Survey Made on the Ground and shown on the proposed Plat of
Lots 6-A through 6-D, a Replat of Lot 6, Commander's Addition.
