AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING AND CLOSING THE FOLLOWING PORTIONS
OF STREET: THAT PORTION OF BOSTON AVENUE WHICH LIES BETWEEN THE
SOUTH Rl.GHT-OF-WAY LINE OF 34TH STREET AND THE NORTH RIGHT-OF-
WAY LINE OF 35TH STREET IN THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, LUBBOCK COUNTY,
TEXAS, AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDI-
NANCE; DIRECTING THE CITY ENGINEER TO MARK THE OFFICIAL MAP OF
THE CITY OF LUBBOCK TO INDICATE THE CLOSING AND ABANDONMENT OF
THAT CERTAIN STREET; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND PROVIDING FOR
PUBLICATION.
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the street portions hereinafter described
are no longer needed for street purposes and for public use; and,.
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it would be to the public interest to close,
vacate and abandon the same for street purposes and to public use; NOW THERE-
FORE:
BE IT ORDAINED B Y THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION ,1. THAT the street portions as hereinafter described shall BE and
the same are hereby closed, vacated and abandoned for street purposes and for
public use;
Tract 1
BEGINNING at a point 83. 59 feet South of the Northeast corner
and in the East line of Lot 20, Block 1, Jefferson Avenue Addi-
tion to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas;
THENCE South 22 ° 31' 3617 East a distance of 36. 17 feet to a
point of curvature;
THENCE around a curve to the left having a radius of 15. 00 feet,
a delta angle of 67° 28' 2411. a tangent length of 10. 02 feet, chord
distance of 16. 66 feet, and a curve length of 17. 66 feet.
THENCE East a distance of 22. 29 feet to a point which is the
Southwest corner of Lot 11, Block 1, Lisemby Addition to the City
of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas;
THENCE North a distance of 126. 25 feet to the Northwest corner
of Lot 11,. Block 1, Lisemby Addition;
THENCE West a distance of 50. 00 feet to the Northeast corner of
Lot 20, Block 1, Jeff er son Avenue Addition;
THENCE South a distance of 83. 59 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING.

BEGINNING at the Northwest corner of Lot IO .. Block 1,. Lisemby
Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County. Texas;
THENCE South along the West line of Lot 10, Block 1,. Lisemby
Addition a distance of 126. 25 feet to the Southwest corner of said
Lot 10;
THENCE West a distance of 50. 00 feet to the Southeast corner of
Lot 1., Block 1., Jefferson Avenue Addition:
THENCE North a distance of 126. 25 feet to the Northeast corner
of Lot 1, Block 1, Jefferson Avenue Addition;
THENCE East a distance of 50. 00 feet to the PLACE OF BEGIN-
NING.
SECTION 2. THAT the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to
mark the official map of the City of Lubbock to indicate that the street described in
Section 1 hereof has been closed and abandoned, showing the number of this Ordi-
nance and the date of its final passage ..
SECTION 3. THAT should any section, paragraph, sentence., clause. phrase
or word of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason,
the remainder of this· Ordinance shall not be affected thereby.
SECTION 4. THAT the City Secretary is hereby authorized and directed to
! cause publication of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance as an alternative

method provided by law.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
