ORDlliANCE NO. 7145
AN ORDlliANCE ABANDONING AND CLOSING THREE TEN (10) FEET
TILITY EASEMENTS LOCATED IN AVALON ADDITION TO THE CITY OF
UBBOCK, LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS AND MORE PARTICULARLY DES-
RIBED HERElliAFTER IN THIS ORDINANCE; DffiECTING 'TIIE CITY ENGI-
EER TO MARK THE OFFICIAL MAPS OF THE CITY TO REFLECT SAID
BANDONING AND CLOSING; AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION.
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the three ten (10) feet Utility Eas
ents as hereinafter described in the body of this Ordinance are no longer
eeded for public use and it would be to the public interest to close, vacate,
bandon the same; NOW THEREFORE:
E IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT said three ten (10) feet Utility Easements are descr· ed
s follows:
The two ten (10. 00) foot utility easements between Lots 33
& 34, and Lots 25 & 26, Block 10 and the 10. 00 foot Utility
easement between Lots 26 & 27, Block 5, all in the Avalon
Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas;
E AND THE SAME ARE HEREBY CLOSED, VACATED AND ABANDONED.
SECTION 2. THAT the City Engineer shall mark said abandonings and
losings on the office maps of the City, giving the number of the Ordinance,
·ts date of final passage.
SECTION 3. THAT the City Secretary is hereby authorized and directed
o cause the publication of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance as an alter
ative method of publication as provided by law.
