HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance - 7024-1975 - Amending Zoning Ord. #1695 And Lubbock Map For Changes: Zone Case #1989 - 01/22/1975ORDINANCE NO. 7024 ------ AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO .. 1695 AND THE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 1989: CHANGE LOT 13. BLOCK 2, RIDGE LAWN ADDITION. CITY OF LUBBOCK, LUBBOCK COUNTY. TEXAS, FROM AN "R-111 TO AN "AM" ZONING DISTRICT: PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION. WHEREAS, the proposed change in Zoning Districts as hereinafter made has been duly presented to the Planning and Zoning Commission for its recommendation, which was received by the City Cop ncil and after due con- sideration, the City Council finds that making the proposed change as herein- after set out will be in the public interest; and, WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amen - ment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices provided by Article lOllf, Vernon1s Annotated Civil Statutes, mended in 1961, and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Ava- lanche Journal more than fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hear ing according to said notice was duly held in the City Council Chambers on th Second Floor of the City Hall., Lubbock, Texas., at which time person·s appeared in support of the proposal; and., after said hearing., it was by the City Council determined that it would be in the public interest, due to change conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having been introduced prior to first reading hereof: NOW THERE FORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SEG:.TION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit: ZONE CASE NO. 1989 Change Lot 13, Block 2, Ridgelawn Addition, City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas from an "R--111 to an 11AM" Zoning District. SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordinance., said lots., tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 here- of shall be changed to the Zoning District indicated and the Official Map is amended in accordance herewith. SECTION 3. THAT should any ~ction, paragraph, sentence, clause phrase or word of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the remainder of this O.rdinance shall not be affected thereby. SECTION 4. THAT the City Secretary is hereby authorized to cause publication of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance as an alternative method provided by law. AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
