WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the street and alley as hereinafter

SECTION I. TH/\ T the street and alley as hereinafter described shall BE and the
same are hcn:by closed. vacated and abandoned for street and alley purposes and for
public use, such street and alley being more particularly described in attached Exhibit

SECTION 2. TI-IAT the City Engineer is lu:rt:by authorized and directed lo mark
the official maps of thi.? City of Lubbock to retlet=t said abandonment and closing.

METES AND BOUNDS DESCRIPTION of a 16,967 square foot portion of Avenue "T' to be closed being further
described as follows:
BEGINNING at an "x" cut in concrete set in the North right-of-way line of 19th Street, at the Southwest corner of
Lot 13, Robinson Subdivision of Block 19, Overton Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas,
according to the map, plat and/or dedication deed thereof recorded in Volume 26, Page 94, Deed Records of
Lubbock County, Texas, for the Southeast corner of this tract,
THENCE N. 89°49'25" W ., along the North right-of-way line of said 191h Street, a distance of 50.00 feet to an "x"
cut in concrete set in the West right-of-way line of said Avenue "T", at the Southeast corner of Block 48, Overton
Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, according to the map, plat and/or dedication deed
thereof recorded in Volume 19, Page 568, Deed Records of Lubbock County, Texas, for the Southwest corner
of this tract;
THENCE North, along the West right-of-way line of said Avenue "T" and the East boundary of said Block 48, a
distance of 339.32 feet to a point for the Northwest corner of this tract;
THENCE N. 89°57'34" E., a distance of 49.98 feet to a 1/2" iron rod with cap found in the East right-of-way line
