WI I EREJ\S, the City Courn.:il ol' the City of I ,ubbnd on October 13, 2011. conducted
a public hearing at which the petition for annexation and arguments for and against the
annexation were heard by the City Council as required by Section 43.028. Local Government

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lubbock deemed it to be in the best
interest of the citizens of the City of Lubbock to grant said petition for annexation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lubbock hereby annexes said srarsdy
occupied area into the City of Lubbock as requested by the land owners of said area; NOW
THEREFORE:

SECTION 1. TI-JAT the area or land hcrcinatkr described containing approximately
101.4 acres and us further dcscri\x;d on the pi.:tition, incluuing a metes and bounds ckscription
and map, attached hereto as Exhibit A, which said exhibit is made a purt h.:n:or for all intents
and purposes. which is contiguous to the existing corporate limits of the City of Lubbock,
Texas, less than one-hair mile in width an<l which contains fewer than three qualified voters
BE and the same is hereby ANNEXED to and included within the corporate limits or the City
or Lubbock, Texas, as requested by the petition of the owners or said area or land.
DESCRIPTION OF ANNEXED AREA
A 102.4 acre tract of land located in Section 4, JJlock D-6 Lubbock County, Texas
being further described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference
for all purposi.:s:
SECTION 2. TllAT the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to
immediately correct the map oJ' the City of Lubhock by adding thereto the additional territm)'
anm.:xcd by this Ordinance. indicating on the map the date or annexation and the number of
this Ordinance. The City Secretary and the City Engineer shall each keep in their respective
offices an official map of the City of Lubbock showing the boundaries of the municipal
corporation, including this annexation.
SECTION 3. THJ\T this Ordinam:i: shall be d'fi:ctiw twenty (20) days al'ter linal
passage by the City Council.
