WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lubbock deems it to be in the best .interest of the citizens of the City of Lubbock to broaden the powers of the Permit and License Ag?eal Board to allow such board to hear appeals of administrative decisions of City officials on matters other than permits and licenses; NM THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY 'l'HE CITY COOOCIL OF THE CITY OF LtJBOCCK: SEX:TION 1. THAT Section 2-167 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Lubbock, Texas, BE and is hereby anended by adding thereto a new subsection (c), which shall read as follows: (c) The permit am license appeal board further may sustain, overrule or m:xlify the action of any city official with regard to any matter in which the ordinances of the City of Lubbock authorizes an appeal to the permit and license appeal board. SEX:TION 2. THAT should any section, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase or word of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby. SEX:TION 3. THAT the City Secretary is hereby authorized and directed to cause publication of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance as an altemative method of publication provided by law.
