AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 13 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF
LUBBOCK, TEXAS, BY AMENDING SEC. 13-14 REGARDING FOOD SERVICE ESTABLISHMENT IN-
SPECTION REPORT FORMS; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it would be in the best
interest of the citizens of the City of Lubbock to amend Sec. 13-14 of the Code
of Ordinances to enable the Health Department to utilize more modern food
service establishment inspection report forms; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that such forms should be put into im-
mediate use in the best interest of the health, safety and general welfare of
the citizens of the City of Lubbock which creates an emergency which requires
immediate passage of this measure; NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION l. THAT Chapter 13 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Lubbock BE and is hereby amended by amending Sec. 13-14 of said Chapter to read
as follows:
Sec. 13-14. Inspection Report.
Whenever the health authority makes an inspection of a food-service
establishment, he shall record his findings on an inspection report form
provided for this purpose, and shall furnish the original of such in-
spection report form to the pemit holder or operator.
SECTION 2. THAT should any section, paragraph, sentence, clause,
phrase or word of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for
any reason, the remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby.
SECTION 3. THAT the City Secretary is hereby authorized to cause
publication of the descriptive caption o~ this Ordinance as an alternative
method provided by law.
SECTION 4. THAT the fact that public necessity and convenience re-
quires that this Ordinance be passed as an emergency measure for reasons set
forth in the preamble hereof, the rule requiring that no Ordinance shall be
finally passed on the day of its introduction be suspended, and this Ordinance
is declared to be an emergency measure to take effect from and after its pas-
sage and publication as set forth hereinabove.
