HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance - 6361-1972 - Amending Zoning Ord. #1695 And Lubbock Map For Changes: Zone Case #1632-A - 04/26/1972• ✓- GYr_,7~ L{/J.~ KJ:U ORDINANCE NO. 6361 ---- AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 1632-A: CHANGE THE WEST 420 FEET O'F THE FOLLOWING DESCRIBED TRACT OF LAND FROM A "C-311 TO AN "A-1 1' ZONING DISTRICT; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION. WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommendation .. which was received byd he City Council and after due con- sideration, the City Council finds that making the proposro change as herein- after set out will be in the public interest; and, WHEREAS_. all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 169 as well as notices provided by Article lOllf, Vernon's Annotated Civil Stat- utes, amended in 1961, and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Mornin Avalanche Journal more than fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Council on such proposed amendment. and the public hearing according to said notice was duly held in the City Council Room on the second floor of the City Hall, Lubbock, Texas, at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and, after said hearing, it was by the City Council determined that it would be in the_ public interest, due to change conditions. that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having been introduced prior to first reading hereof; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit: v Being a tract of 10. 6067 acres out of Section Six (6), Block E-21 Lubbock County, Texas. BEGINNING at a point which is the Southeast corner of said Section 6, Block E-2; THENCE North a distance of 517. 5 feet; THENCE West a distance of 140. 00 feet; THENCE North 77 ° West a distance of 365. 00 feet; THENCE North 89° 47 1 2311 West a distance of 313. 15 feet; THENCE South a distance of 302. 76 feet; THENCE West a distance of 10. 00 feet; THENCE South a distance of 298. 00 feet; THENCE East a distance of 818, 8 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING. SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordinance, said lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereo shall be changed to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in accordance herewith. SECTION 3. THAT should any section, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase or word of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby. SECTION 4. THAT the City Secretary is hereby authorized to cause publication of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance as an alternative No Text No Text No Text No Text
