HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance - 7805-1979 - Ordinance 7805 Establishing Fees By Pioneer Natural Gas For Reconnecting Meters - 02/08/1979DGV;h~ ORDINANCE No.7B05 -o,_.==~!!=====::::'::=t:===================================:!':::=a=======#== AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING FEES TO BE CHARGED BY PIONEER NATURAL GAS COMPANY FOR SETTING, TURNING ON AND RECONNECTING CUSTOMER METERS WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS. WHEREAS, Pioneer Natural Gas Company, a division of Pioneer Corporation, has applied to the City Council of the City of Lubbock, Texas, to establish fees f9r the setting, turning on and reconnecting of customer meters within the City; and WHEREAS, after due consideration the City Council has determined that such fees tequested by Pioneer Natural Gas Company should be approved; NOW, THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: I. That Pioneer Natural Gas Conpany shall be entitled to charge the following fees for setting and turning on customer meters in the City of Lubbock, Texas: During Normal After Normal Working Hours Working Hours Meter Set $8.oo $12.00 Meter Turn-On $8.oo $)2.00 II. THAT, in case of default or nonpayment of the gas bill rendered at any authorized rate, Pioneer Natural Gas Company shall have the right to discontinue gas service to any customer in the manner provided by law, and in case such customer shall make application to have service reconnected, he may be required to pay as a condition precedent thereto all amounts due Pioneer Natural Gas Company, and also a reconnecting fee of Eight Dollars ($8,00) during normal working hours and TweJ•.-e Dollars ($12.00) after normal working hours. III. THAT, notwithstanding the fees set by this ordinance, Pioneer Natural Gas Company shall not be prohibited in the future from making due.application to the City of Lubbock to change said fees in order to insure that the costs of providing such services continue to be properly recovered from customers re- questing same. IV. THAT, all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of the conflict. v. THAT, this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and approval as provided by law, provided that Pioneer Natural Gas Company accepts in writing the terms of this ordinance within thirty (30) days after being notified of the passage hereof.
