AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 34 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS, BY AMENDING SECTION 34-95.1 (H) REGARDING FEES FOR SEWAGE DISPOSAL SYSTEM PERMITS; COMMERCIAL SEPTIC TANK EMPTYING PERMITS; AND ESTABLISHING A PENALTY; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that altering the fees to be charged by the City Health Department for the issuance of permits and for in- spections would be in the best interest of the health, safety and general welfare of the citizens of the City of Lubbock; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the fees presently charged are in- sufficient to cover expenses incurred by the City Health Department in conducting such functions and that such functions are an absolute necessity in protecting the health of the citizens of the City of Lubbock, there is created an emergency which requires the immediate passage of this measure; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1.
